HSSF Mission Statement

The purpose of Headwaters Shooting Sports Foundation is:

To oversee the assets and infrastructure for the maintenance and development of the Northland Regional Sports Park, a public use facility of Beltrami County, State of Minnesota.

To provide a safe and secure ·environment for training all age-qualified persons in the safe, responsible management of firearms, outdoors and at home, with the assistance of qualified instructors.

To encourage organized shooting events and improved marksmanship in the greater Bemidji, MN area, as well as a greater knowledge in the safe handling and proper care and use of firearms.

To foster the development of honesty, good fellowship, goal setting, self-discipline, team play and self-reliance which are the essentials of good sportsmanship and the foundation for leadership qualities.
